Hello :) My next post is about my college which recently managed to bag the "Best Commerce College of India 2013" title ..So here's a little on my college SRCC "Winning is more of a habit now" said one of my close friends when I asked him about his review on SRCC being branded as the best commerce college in India by India Today annual report 2013. Be it the huge packages the undergrads from the college receive after a mere 3 year course , or the number of first years who get internships at myriad places to hone their skills , it is certain that the college is home to plethora of talent which is one of the reasons why it excels in every field.

The ranking is based on fields such as Reputation, Academic Input, Student Care, and Infrastructure & Placements.
Apart from general course work, students are involved in multifarious activities (social & cultural) all around the year through a large number of societies that provides them a learning experience.
Competitions and exchange programs see numerous students from all around the globe (Business Conclave 2013 had students from Dubai too) visiting the campus and gives the college students a chance to share platforms with talented people.
Placements might not be the first option on every SRites list , yet with enticing packages of 15-20 lakhs per year that big shots like Deutsche bank, PWC, Deloitte etc. have to offer every year a number of people do opt to sit for campus placements. A special Placement Cell of the college takes care of the visiting firms and coordinates the placement process.

Apart from placements many B.com students pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy and as Company Secretaries. Even MBA, Civil Services, M.A, M.Com are preferred career options for students and the college is more than happy to aid them through different scholarships or grants. This year SRCC produced some of the top 50 rankers in the CA exams and a number of students belled the CAT too.

It is difficult to say what single thing makes SRCC the best, yet in my opinion it is the sheer zeal of teachers and the students that come in every year that makes sure the college maintains its brand name.

Kudos SRCC!
