Hello :) My next post is about my college which recently managed to bag the "Best Commerce College of India 2013" title ..So here's a little on my college SRCC
"Winning is more of a habit now" said one of my close friends when I asked him about his review on SRCC being branded as the best commerce college in India by India Today annual report 2013.
Be it the huge packages the undergrads from the college receive after a mere 3 year course , or the number of first years who get internships at myriad places to hone their skills , it is certain that the college is home to plethora of talent which is one of the reasons why it excels in every field.
The ranking is based on fields such as Reputation, Academic Input, Student Care, and Infrastructure & Placements.
Apart from general course work, students are involved in multifarious activities (social & cultural) all around the year through a large number of societies that provides them a learning experience.
Competitions and exchange programs see numerous students from all around the globe (Business Conclave 2013 had students from Dubai too) visiting the campus and gives the college students a chance to share platforms with talented people.
Placements might not be the first option on every SRites list , yet with enticing packages of 15-20 lakhs per year that big shots like Deutsche bank, PWC, Deloitte etc. have to offer every year a number of people do opt to sit for campus placements. A special Placement Cell of the college takes care of the visiting firms and coordinates the placement process.
Apart from placements many B.com students pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy and as Company Secretaries. Even MBA, Civil Services, M.A, M.Com are preferred career options for students and the college is more than happy to aid them through different scholarships or grants. This year SRCC produced some of the top 50 rankers in the CA exams and a number of students belled the CAT too.
It is difficult to say what single thing makes SRCC the best, yet in my opinion it is the sheer zeal of teachers and the students that come in every year that makes sure the college maintains its brand name.
Kudos SRCC!

God hasn’t thou fury ended? Even after seeing the innocent dead. Those that took a voyage to seek you shall never be seen again. Broken families , broken dwellings , what more is left to see ?
Shall people ever again faithfully submit themselves to you with hope that when you beckon they can fearlessly keep everything at bay .
Agnostics and atheists like me never depended on you and holding you responsible for things that happen isn’t a habit of ours. But in times of helplessness , when the ones who are to be blamed for visiting your pilgrimage site are already dead and there is no one else left to be blamed , the culprit has to be YOU.!
Please don’t establish fatuous faith in people. Do not awe them with miracles and petrify them with Your vandalism.
They talk about the end of earth . About polar shifting, about asteroids about solar storms but before that I believe catastrophes like these will be enough to bring about doom of mankind.
To err is human to forgive divine. No one mentioned what is to be done when God errs . I know my words will never reach the sole reader that I’m addressing so I hope that apart from Him those who are reading this do pray for the ones who lost their lives in the Uttarakhand tragedy. May peace reign supreme !

Middle of nowhere
Never been so clueless about my own musings, never so trapped in the mazes of my mind
every silent reverie is a flashback of the past..
A past I wish I could get rid off in quick time.......
Tempted by pals to share emotions,
hearing each one reveal his deepest secrets,
yet the concoctions of my memory restrain me,
from unveiling the face of my subtle thoughts.....
Wish I could find a haven,
for these pointless aimless useless preoccupations,
but disappointment is all I get in return,
and these strange thoughts tamper with my brain...
This rotten brain glows with darkness,
destroying and creating itself over and over again,
thoughts scavenge on all that is left of it,
in their own silent somnolent way
This pen of mine is questioning what i write,
even i'm oblivious to my own words.....
I don't expect any to understand my lines..
So it is better that right here I stop.........

Politics over Performance
There are times when burning the midnight oil matters less than having an oily tongue. When you strive to achieve something that should belong to you yet it is given to a less-deserving person and you can do nothing about it, a voice inside you tells you that you have been wronged.
And this is when the harsh reality prevalent in the present scenario strikes you.... it is always.. POLITICS OVER PERFORMANCE... RECOMMENDATION OVER TALENT.... TRICKERY OVER SKILLS... that decide your future ...
Grades , zeal, diligence are hollow words .. What sells are words like flattery , deceit ,money , seduction... The irony of the situation is that in spite of being fully aware of all this we react as if we are in oblivion. If this is how we nurture the gen-next then all one can promise is a bleak future where the non-deserving hold an upper hand. If people are to be judged not on performance but politics then why the farce of conducting exams.. calling for interviews...filling up forms..... why???? When did " links with officials" become a part of eligibility criteria ???
Hypocrisy is perhaps the word best suited for this kind of selection. You set the stage for a skilled guy to give his best.. you monitor him ..he performs...and then you choose someone who didn't even feature in the background.
THIS ARTICLE OF MY WILL SERVE AS A CLARION CALL TO 3 KINDS OF PEOPLE :
First the message is a free advice to those who judge people on such unfair grounds. To them I say a day might arrive when you have to face such judges yourself. Learn to be sagacious.!!
Secondly this message is a reassurance for those who have suffered unknowingly for such policies. Remember skills are forever.. Hone them and turn the tide your way.. He who muscles the tempests will certainly be a greater achiever than one who finds the easy way out..Stay Focussed!!
Thirdly to those who reap benefits of this manipulative decision-making and unfair and biased selection...this message should serve as a WARNING!!! of the impending danger that is attached with their position ..With great power comes great responsibility..once the "REAL" performers get a chance to unleash their army of talent skills and hardwork it won't be late before you are yanked out from your respective position.. So be honest , be fair and fight with warriors like warriors.....
.ASK YOURSELF..WHICH ONE OF THESE ARE YOU ???
